TOUR THE SEAQUELL

St. Helena, Todd's Notes

Notes

Position: St. Helena, Todd's Notes

Well, all aboard SeaQuell have made it safely to St. Helena, located at 15.54 S and 5.43 W. About 800 miles off the west coast of Africa, just south of the equator. Island is 10 miles by 6 miles and not much here. Makes Tortola and the BVI look like New York. Very quiet and quaint. Wait till you see the picture of Main Street, really the only street in town.

Napoleon was exile here by the British around 1815, died here 1821 and had his remains moved to France 1841. He did live in style as we toured his estate.

Several forts all manned on and off until the end of WWII.

Lucky for us, the Pubs close between 2:00 and 5:00, or we would of been gone a long time.

We are out of here today for Ascension, then homeward bound, still looking like late March into Trinidad.

Enjoy,
Todd and John

We are back to spinnaker sailing, and making great time once again. We had a whale come and swim next to us for a while, or maybe we sailed next to him, not sure.Took a picture to show just how big the main sail is.

Hope you are all able to track us on the SeaKeeper's site. We should be in Brazil in two days. Everbody is doing great and enjoying the ability to SAIL.

Miss you all,
Todd and Grandpa
