| Stavanger Norway- June 15, 1997 The fjords of Norway are as spectacular as the pictures with many miles of beautiful 3,000' walls and water 1500' deep. At this time of the year the snow is melting on top, filling many waterfalls coming over the walls and dropping into the fjords. You could spend a month just traveling up the fjords with each one a different scene. Most of the fjords which we cruised were at least 20 miles in length. Next stop will be driving to Oslo on June 17 and then we'll meet the boat in Gothenberg, Sweden by June 19 or 20. (Back to Ship's Log) |
